Máire Fisher is a writer and writing mentor. Her first novel, Birdseye was published in 2014 by Penguin Random House. Her second, The Enumerations was also published by Umuzi in August 2018. She is now working on her third, tentatively entitled Bird on the Wire.
Máire runs writing workshops with Chantal Stewart in Cape Town and is a founder member of a writing group that meets for writing retreats in Volmoed in the Hemel en Aarde Valley. She was a regular attendee of the Stanford Barn Writing workshops run by Rahla Xenopoulos and has co-facilitated workshops with Rahla.
